Biometry and Bioinformatics Team

Prof. Paweł Krajewski

Hanna Ćwiek-Kupczyńska, MSc Eng.
Maria Nuc, MSc (PhD student)
Monika Mokrzycka, MSc Eng.

The Team conducts research on modelling and analysis of data from biological experiments as well as data processing tools and structures. Of special interest are data obtained from sequencing or chromatography experiments. Due to numerous observations and complementarity of analyses in biological projects, the integration of various data sets plays a key role in our activities.

Research profile

  • Statistical, informatic and bioinformatic methods applicable in the analysis and integration of results of biological experiments, with special attention to experiments performed in genetics, genomics and plant breeding.
  • Database structures and tools for storage and processing of plant biology data.

  • analysis of linear mixed models,
  •  functional data modeling,
  •  multivariate analysis,
  • relational databases,
  • standardization of experimental information,
  • analysis of DNA sequencing data,
  • interpretation and integration of data obtained by DNA sequencing

Current reserach activities

  • Methods of analysis and interpretation of results of experiments performed in gene expression, protein interaction and chromatin state studies (statutory research, EPITRAITS).
