The working group of the International Organization for Biological Control (IOBC) on

Integrated Control in Oilseed Crops will bring together the latest advances in:

  • Identification of factors stimulating and limiting implementation of bio-based and integrated control of oilseed crops from research and development to commercialization and practical implementation
  • Development of strategies to improve implementation of integrated control with regard to genetic technology and its impact on the environment and the quality of agricultural products
  • Development of sustainable low-input oilseed crop production systems to minimize pesticides and fossil fuel usage and to maximize the exploitation of genetic resources
  • Focus on new strategies in research and development on integrated control of insect pests and pathogens in oilseeds

MEETING LOCATION

We will meet at the Technische Universität in Dresden, which is the capital of the State of Saxony. Dresden is known as a city of art and culture with the most prominent buildings including the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, the Semperoper and Dresden Castle. Dresden is also an important science and technology hub. The Technische Universität Dresden was founded in 1828, has ~29,000 students enrolled in a wide range of over a hundred degree programs in 17 faculties.

OFFERS OF PRESENTATION & ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

You are invited to submit an abstract/ extended abstract for an oral (full or flash talk) or poster presentation/s. We encourage you to submit an extended abstract or a full paper.

Short or Extended abstracts (3 pages) or full papers (up to 8 pages) will be published in the IOBC-WPRS Bulletin which will be available as preceedings in electronic format only.

Please use this template; the organizers will not re-format the manuscripts.

Abstracts must be sent as a WORD file to jutta.ludwig-mueller@tu-dresden.de

Please add “IOBC abstract” in the title of the mail.

The final program will be available from June 25, 2024. Registered participants will receive an email with the decision on the type of presentation and the final programme.

TRAVEL TO DRESDEN

Dresden is linked with the European transit network of high-speed trains and can be reached from every direction by rail or car.

Dresden airport is about 30 minutes by local train to the main train station which is located in the city center.
