The Barbacki Award

The Scientific Council of the Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań established a National Scientific Award in plant genetics named after Professor Stefan Barbacki - one of the best Polish experts on plant genetics and the founder of the Institute.
The idea of the award is to highlight young scientists (under 35) working on plant genetics and to promote the achievements resulting from the research carried out under the national laboratories.
The award has been granted annually since 1994 for original research documented by publication either in a national or international journal during the past three years, that has not been previously awarded.
