The Institute of Plant Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, in a consortium with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Adam Mickiewicz University, is implementing the project "OMNIPLANT - National Research Infrastructure for Imaging and Multi-omic Analysis at the Single Plant Cell Level for Modern Agriculture and Forestry", co-financed by the European Union under Call 2.4 of the European Funds for Modern Economy program, No. FENG.02.04-IP.04-0008/25-00.
The project aims to create a modern, interdisciplinary, and comprehensive research infrastructure dedicated to advanced imaging and multi-omic analysis of single plant cells. This infrastructure will enable the integration of data from proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and imaging of chemical structure and composition at the subcellular level. This will enable the generation of a comprehensive picture of the molecular and physiological processes that determine plant function and adaptation.
The following laboratories will be established:
- Single Cell Proteomics and Metabolomics Laboratory (ICHB PAN)
- Plant Cell Ultrastructure and Chemical Composition Imaging Laboratory (AMU)
- Plant Interaction Imaging Laboratory (IGR PAN)
