Visit from Corteva

On June 16, 2026, a delegation from Corteva visited the Institute. The meeting focused on crop diseases, including new findings from the Department of Pathogen Genetics and Plant Resistance that could be applied in practice. The title of professor for dr hab. Franklin Gregory, prof. IGR PAN

On April 23, 2026, the President of the Republic of Poland awarded the title of professor of agricultural sciences in the discipline of agriculture and horticulture to Dr. hab. The 2026 Competition for the Stefan Barbacki National Scientific Award in Plant Genetics is now open

The Scientific Council of the Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPG PAS) in Poznań has established the Stefan Barbacki National Scientific Award in Plant Genetics.
The award is granted by the Award Committee for outstanding scientific work in the field of plant genetics, carried out in research laboratories in Poland by young scientists (up to 35 years old – including authors of team-based work).
