The Institute of Plant Genetics, PAS is a partner in the EFSA’s NGT_TMA projec

We are delighted to announce that the project entitled “Enhancing National Expertise in Latvia and Other Baltic and Nordic Countries on Plants and Products Obtained with New Genomic Techniques,” in which the Institute of Plant Genetics PAS is a partner, has been positively assessed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) under the EU’s TMA (Tasking Grant) programmes and awarded a grant for implementation.

  The project aims to build and harmonize scientific and research capacity, as well as expertise, in risk assessment for plants and products produced using new genomic techniques (NGTs). As a part of the project, two Expert Seminars on NGTs will be organized in Poland for local plant breeders, representatives of international breeding companies, and scientists.
