Scientific Award of Division II of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the research team from the Department of Integrated Plant Biology, IPG PAS

We are pleased to announce that the team from the Department of Integrated Plant Biology at the IPG PAS, led by prof. dr hab. Robert Malinowski, has received the Scientific Award of the Division II of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Pursuant to Resolution No. 9/2025 of the Division of November 27, 2025, the award was granted for the scientific achievement entitled "Description of the genetic and physiological mechanisms of plant response to infection by Plasmodiophora brassicae – the protist causing clubroot." The awarded team includes: prof. dr hab. Robert Malinowski (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences), Dr. Sara Blicharz (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences/currently Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences), Dr. Soham Mukhopadhyay (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences/currently Laval University, Canada), Dr. Juan Camilo Ochoa (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences/currently Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences), Dr. Karolina Stefanowicz (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences), and Dr. William Truman (Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences).
