Nomination to Polish Intelligent Development Award 2019

We are happy to inform you that Assoc. Prof. Lidia Błaszczyk has been nominated to the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2019 in the category “Scientist of the Future” for her project "Molecular basis of the wheat reaction (Triticum aestivum L.) on the colonization of roots by species. Trichoderma."

STATEMENT

With great regret we must report that cases of illicit manipulation of illustrations presenting research results have been found among recent papers published with the IPG PAS affiliation. The PhD student responsible for this breach of scientific ethics no longer works at the Institute and is not a participant in the doctoral studies programme. Internal investigations are ongoing. We strongly condemn such scientific misconduct.

New Head of the Department

It's our pleasure to inform that on 1 January 2019 prof. Łukasz Stępień will become the Head of the Department of Pathogen Genetics and Plant Resistance, thus replacing prof. Piotr Kachlicki.

Michał Oczapowski Medal

We inform that by the Resolution No. 1/2018 of September 11, 2018, the Presidium of the Michał Oczapowski Medal, Division II of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, granted the Medal of Michał Oczapowski to prof. dr hab. Wojciech Święcicki for his outstanding contribution to the development of plant genetics. Congratulations!
