New Members of the Scientific Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences

New members of the Scientific Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences were elected for the 2020-2023

The Polish Academy of Sciences announced the results of elections to all scientific committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the new term 2020-2023. The voting took place for the first time via the Internet.

Independent researchers from all over the country could participate in the voting. The condition was to have the academic title of professor or habilitation.

The committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences are a national representation of various scientific environments and disciplines. Their members are chosen by the scientific communities of individual fields.

The committees perform the functions of advisory and consultative bodies. They develop scientific positions and expert opinions for state administration, help in solving specific scientific issues. They provide opinions on legal acts regarding science, its applications and education. They also care for the popularisation and implementation of research results, and support the development of individual disciplines.

Following persons were recognized in IPG PAS and elected:

  • Prof. Arkadiusz Kosmala, Committee of Agronomic Sciences of PAS,
  • Prof. Paweł Krajewski, Committee of Agronomic Sciences of PAS,
  • Assoc. Prof. Robert Malinowski, Biotechnology Committee of PAS,
  • Assoc. Prof. Tomasz Pniewski, Biotechnology Committee of PAS.

 

We congratulate all the elected and wish them fruitful work in the Scientific Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
