The European Commission's proposals on the use of new genomic techniques have been announced

The European Commission has published documents containing proposals for legislative changes concerning plants obtained by means of certain new genomic techniques and food and feed derived from them. The proposal significantly changes the possibility of using gene editing and cisgenesis to improve crop plants.
